Just a note, we attended Superfeast last year and had a wonderful time handing out meals to those who might need a little help during the holiday season. This year is sure to be a terrific event as well so please consider giving some time out of your day to help at this worthy event.
Preparations are well underway for the 25th Annual Waste Management Superfeast to be held Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2009 outside on the grounds of Houston City Hall, Tranquility Park and Walker Street. Houston City Hall is located at 900 Smith between 400/500 Walker and 400/500 McKinney, Houston, Texas 77002.
At this years’ Waste Management Superfeast, we are expecting 18,000 to 21,000 Thanksgiving dinner guests. Everyone is welcome. The Superfeast was originally for the homeless and less fortunate. As a result of many people not having family, friends, or a place to go on Thanksgiving, the Superfeast is welcoming all people to come together on Thanksgiving Day.
Thanksgiving dinner will be served from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and the time will be extended if needed. Each guest is welcome to go through the serving lines as many times as he or she would like, no questions asked.
